Bressanone e Vipiteno

Bishop's Town of Bressanone
The over 1,000 year-old-town of Bressanone is located at the junction of the rivers Isarco and Rienza. Quiet arcades, picturesque town houses and the cathedral, visible from afar, characterise this old city. As an important Bishop’s residence, Bressanone has many creatively designed churches and religious buildings. The city is situated in a quiet location where it is possible for you to experience the authentic South Tyrolean way of life. The local events, cultural highlights and good shopping opportunities make a visit to Bressanone a worthwhile occasion. For children, there is the adventure pool “Acquarena”.

Vipiteno – the northern-most town in South Tyrol
In the medieval Fugger town of Vipiteno you can find numerous historic buildings and monuments that are reminiscent of the heyday of the medieval mining industry. On a shopping trip between the historic buildings you can best enjoy the unique charm of the town over a coffee in a bar. Those who prefer the countryside to the town will be pleased to discover Monte Cavallo just a few minutes’ walk from the centre. In summer the mountain invites you to take hiking and mountaineering tours and in winter it offers pure skiing fun and 9.6 km of toboggan run; the longest in Italy.
